We offer experienced advice on when to make all your purchases of you wedding apparel and accessories, thus helping you to have a pleasant, stress free experience.

We have provided a "Wedding Attire Time Line" to assist you:

Bridal Gown- recommended purchase time is 8 months prior to your wedding date. This allows you stress free time, to wait for the gowns arrival (if ordering) and plan your alterations in plenty of time to spare. Financially this is a plus as well. You will be able to take care of one of your expenses plenty of time in advance of your wedding day! Bridal Portraits, another great example as to the importance of ordering within the timeline previously mentioned. Alterations being completed promptly will aid you in a pleasant and relaxed setting for a Bridal portrait that will be cherished for all times.
	Bridesmaids Gowns- recommended purchase time is 5-7 months prior to your wedding date. More time is needed to coordinate with each of your bridesmaids for ordering gowns. Measurements need to be taken, information compiled and deposits for purchases made. You will also need to be aware of the situation where not all bridesmaids will be in the area that the gowns/seamstress is located. So other arrangements for fittings may need to be made where your bridesmaid is located. Remember to consider the comfort level of your friends and family when choosing a style of gown for your wedding party.
Flowergirl Gowns- recommended purchase time is 3-5 months prior to your wedding date. Many gowns come sizer friendly, yet you may need time to reschedule fittings. Most little girls need their gown purchased according to their height. Accessories- again, for a pleasant controlled experience, we recommend purchasing shoes, gloves, headpieces, jewelry, and invitations a minimum of 3-5 months prior to your wedding day. This way you have time to dye shoes, wrap gifts of jewelry, and everyone has there shoes prior to scheduled fittings.
	Tuxedos- recommended time for booking tux rentals is 4-6 months. It is very important to check into the rental shops policy on exchanges once the tux's have arrived. You will want to know that if there is any problem with the fit of the tux, you can have the piece of mind to know that the company can make corrections up to the morning of the wedding. Now and Forever Bridal uses Milroy's Tuxedos when you want HIM to look his best. Infant and Children's Tuxedos- recommended purchase time is 4 mo. prior to your wedding date. Fitting young boys in your wedding party can be difficult between the ages of mo. and 3-4 years. Rental tux's and formal wear to fit boys as small as 3 mo. old. These little outfits are real crowd pleasers! They also make for fantastic photographs. Alterations- as with all tailored, custom fitted apparel, you will need to plan on having alterations made to your gowns. This is one of the reason's we encourage you to follow this time line as best as you can. Once you have made a selection on which gown(s) you are purchasing you will then need to schedule fittings around both yourself and the seamstress. It is important to have your shoes and lingerie available to accompany you to each of your scheduled fittings. You will have an expert working with intricate details of your gown and you will need to plan to budget for the cost of alterations. Typically, you can count on 3 fittings with your seamstress. Choosing an individual who is experienced with working on bridal gowns is essential. Payment- when planning your purchases, it is helpful to allow yourself time to pay for the many things you will need to have for the wedding of your dreams. Remember, these are recommended time lines to provide you with an enjoyable, successful wedding planning experience. Items can be received in a quicker time frame, it’s just not recommended.
